Both golfers reached the green on the par-four 18th hole, landing 12 to 15 feet from the cup. Spencer one-putted for birdie to seal the victory. Hafner settled for par and the runner-up finish.
Spencer, who plays for the University of Missouri-Kansas City and was named to the Summit League All-Freshman team last month, called the dramatic finish a childhood dream come true.
