Iowa High School Volleyball Teams Shine in KELOLAND Saturday Scoreboard

Saturday's high school volleyball action across KELOLAND featured several Iowa teams posting strong results, with Western Christian and MOC-Floyd Valley leading the way with multiple victories. The busy day of competition showcased the depth of talent in the region, particularly from Iowa squads competing against South Dakota opponents.

Iowa teams dominate in cross-state matchups

Western Christian, IA and MOC-Floyd Valley, IA each recorded two wins on Saturday, defeating Dakota Valley and Sioux Falls Christian in separate matches. These cross-state victories highlight the competitive spirit between Iowa and South Dakota high school programs.

MOC-Floyd Valley defeated Dakota Valley 2-0 and followed with a 2-0 win over Sioux Falls Christian. Western Christian matched that performance with identical 2-0 results against the same two South Dakota schools.

South Dakota football results highlight Saturday slate

On the gridiron, South Dakota State cruised to a 42-7 victory over Eastern Illinois, while Winona State edged Augustana 42-41 in overtime. Northern State topped U-Mary 21-14, and Youngstown State defeated USD 47-28.

MSU Mankato secured a 28-14 win over USF in the day's other college football matchup.

College volleyball and other scores

In college volleyball, SMSU swept Augustana 3-0, and Wayne State blanked USF 3-0. The Minnesota Twins fell to Texas 6-2 in MLB action, while Minnesota United dropped a 3-1 decision to Seattle in MLS play.
