Iowa has secured a spot as one of the best states in the nation for affordable personal loans, according to a new study released Monday by lender Achieve. The Hawkeye State ranked fourth overall, trailing only North Dakota, South Dakota, and Arkansas, with Kansas rounding out the top five.
The study evaluated states based on four key factors: regional cost of living, average personal loan annual percentage rate, median household income, and the purchasing power of $100. Midwest states dominated the rankings, with four of the top five slots going to the region.
