Standout Pitcher Hunter Halajian Commits to Northeast Iowa CC
Left-handed pitcher Hunter Halajian, a recent Watertown High School graduate, has committed to play college baseball at Northeast Iowa Community College. Halajian brings an impressive 6-2 record and 66 strikeouts to the Iowa program, choosing the Calmar-based school after a standout high school and American Legion career in South Dakota.
Why is Hunter Halajian a key addition for Northeast Iowa Community College?
Halajian has proven himself as a dominant force on the mound. During his 2026 summer American Legion Baseball season with Watertown Arrows Post 17, he posted a 6-2 record. In 58 innings pitched, the left-hander recorded 66 strikeouts, a 1.36 WHIP and a solid 3.02 earned run average. He previously helped lead Watertown to a runner-up finish in the state Class A South Dakota High School Baseball Association tournament.
