Star Pitcher Hunter Halajian Commits to Northeast Iowa CC

Hunter Halajian, a standout left-handed pitcher for the Watertown Arrows Post 17, has committed to play college baseball at Northeast Iowa Community College. The recent Watertown High School graduate brings a 6-2 record and 66 strikeouts to the Iowa program, joining several other regional athletes who are taking their talents to Iowa colleges this year.

Why is Hunter Halajian heading to Northeast Iowa Community College?

Halajian had a dominant 2026 campaign, proving himself as one of the top arms in the region. In 58 innings of work, the left-hander posted a 6-2 record with 66 strikeouts, a 1.36 WHIP and a solid 3.02 earned run average. He also helped lead Watertown to a runner-up finish in the state Class A South Dakota High School Baseball Association tournament.
