President Donald Trump brought his signature energy to a packed high school gymnasium in Marietta, Georgia on Wednesday, rallying support for Republican Senate candidate Mike Collins and promoting key conservative wins including the new Trump Accounts and election integrity measures.

Trump took direct aim at Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff, calling him “Pee-wee Herman” and urging voters to send Collins to Washington. “You have to vote for Mike because he is running against Pee-wee Herman,” Trump told a standing-room-only crowd at Wheeler High School. “He will bring a lot of action back to your state. Vote for Mike.”

Collins, a current House member, was absent from the rally due to key votes in Washington. He emerged from a bruising GOP primary with roughly $2 million cash on hand, compared to Ossoff’s massive $42 million war chest. Ossoff has raised $77 million this cycle, giving Democrats a significant financial edge. The Cook Political Report rates the seat “leans Democratic,” but the race remains competitive.

Trump Accounts: A Game Changer for American Families

The rally’s main focus was education and the new Trump Accounts, which provide tax-advantaged investing for Americans under 18. The federal government deposits $1,000 into accounts for babies born between 2025 and 2028. Trump said “the money is pouring in” and called on Georgia GOP gubernatorial candidate Rick Jackson to the stage.

Jackson announced he would push Georgia lawmakers to match the federal contribution for Georgia families, and if lawmakers fail to act, he would pay for it himself. This kind of state-level action mirrors what conservative leaders in Iowa could pursue to boost family financial security.

“For too long, many have felt the American dream is slipping into the past – not anymore,” said U.S. Education Secretary Linda McMahon. “Under President Trump’s leadership, we are opening every possible pathway to pursue that dream again.”

Trump also hammered home his push for election integrity, urging Senate Republicans to pass the SAVE America Act. The bill would require proof of U.S. citizenship to register to vote in federal elections, limit mail-in voting, and mandate purges of noncitizens from voter rolls.

“The Senate, what they are doing is just not right,” Trump said. “We are not going to take this any longer.”

Despite a primetime speech this week, Senate Republicans have struggled to find the 60 votes needed to overcome a filibuster. The issue remains a top priority for Trump and a key concern for Iowa conservatives who want secure elections.

Economic Wins and the Iran Conflict

Trump touted his “big beautiful bill,” which includes ending taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security, expanding the Child and Dependent Care Tax Credit, and creating Trump Accounts. Small Business Administrator Kelly Loeffler, a former Georgia senator, noted that both of Georgia’s Democratic senators voted against the bill.

“They doubled the child tax credit and ended taxes on tips, overtime and Social Security,” Loeffler said. “All of that might seem like common sense, and it is, but it is also a fact every single congressional Democrat voted ‘no’ on letting you take home more of what you earn.”

The Iran conflict, now in its sixth month, has complicated the GOP’s economic message. With 18 service members killed and costs at $37.5 billion, rising fuel prices are hitting families hard. Crude oil recently topped $95 per barrel. Trump has maintained support among his MAGA base, with U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach declaring, “He is going to make sure Iran never has a nuclear weapon.”
