Associated Bank AI Academy Expands Student Career Readiness
Associated Banc-Corp launched the second year of its AI Academy on July 1, 2026, expanding a private-sector initiative that teaches middle and high school students artificial intelligence, financial literacy, and career readiness. Operating across Iowa and the broader Midwest, the bank's program offers a flexible, self-paced learning experience that equips students with practical technology and budgeting skills without relying on government mandates.
Private sector steps up for student career readiness
As schools struggle to keep pace with rapid technological advancements, private businesses are filling the gap. Associated Bank developed the AI Academy in partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee and powered by Skillsoft. The program gives students foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence while teaching them how technology shapes the future of work, finance, and daily life.
Terry Williams, executive vice president and chief information officer at Associated Bank, said the program prepares students for a competitive global economy.
