Iowa YouTube TV and DirecTV Subscribers May Be Eligible for Disney Antitrust Settlement Payout
If you subscribed to YouTube TV or DirecTV in Iowa since April 2019, you could be entitled to cash from a $50 million settlement Disney agreed to in an antitrust lawsuit. The lawsuit accused Disney of forcing higher prices for live TV streaming services by bundling expensive channels like ESPN and Hulu into base packages.
To qualify for a payout, you must have subscribed to YouTube TV or DirecTV, including DirecTV Stream, DirecTV Now, or AT&T TV Now, between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026. Iowa is among the states where 90% of the settlement funds will be distributed.
